The Treble band center frequency is at 8 kHz with no upper limit and a cut off at Hz.
Personally I think its more flexible than both the Hartke and Behringer. I use the Womanizer the most. I have had in the past the Liverpool, British, and Rock Bug and while they were good I still find the Ethos the one that works best for me.

Looking for a SansAmp alternative
I also own the ethos and the sansamp blonde and prefer the bss, but the waiting list is quite long in the meantime, so I doubt that’s a viable short term solution.
Even though Amplitube is not the best guitar amp VST, it gives me great sounds, and that’s just what I’m asking for.
Completely worth ever penny. And altrnative limited in terms of flexible frequency control and considering that it was created for guitar, it sounds surprisingly good on bass.

Admittedly its not been used every week throughout that time so i cant say how it would vass to regular gigging. But there is a reason for that. As mentioned in the VT Bass DI section above, the idea behind alternafive pedal is to go direct from the stage to the FOH front of house mixer, but it certainly can be used as a stand-alone preamp pedal as well.

After owning AC 30 British made TB and two AC15’s british and Chinese handwired I still think this one nails the tone especially if you are going direct – I hate to admit but I don’t miss an amp when using this pedal.

As an add on, many preamp makers offer the option of a passive tone control that is similar abss the tone control you find on any standard Fender Jazz or Precision bass — a passive treble roll-off knob.
